Brian Speiser has worked as a touring audio engineer and production manager for over 25 years. He has produced several studio and live albums, and supervised vinyl production for projects by many different artists. Brian’s studio and vinyl work focuses on analog projects and making the best sounding vinyl releases possible. His touring and production credits include Tedeschi Trucks Band, Indigo Girls, Amy Ray, Brandi Carlile, 311, They Might Be Giants, and more.

At Capital Audio Fest, Brian will play samples from laquers and test pressings from some of his recent projects and demonstrate the different sonic signatures of various vinyl formulas.

ROCKVILLE, MD (PTA) — Glad to be back at Capital Audio Fest for 2021. Arriving on Thursday it was a bit emotional for me, seeing all the exhibitors finishing the final bits of system setup and tweaking. Seeing all the show staff buzzing around the lobby getting the details in place. By Friday morning however, it was like the pandemic hiatus had never happened. I all hit the ground running at the show start and it felt for the most part like “the before times” as Dave McNair would say.

Capital Audiofest 2021 was a fantastic show. Everyone I spoke to—vendors, visitors, the helpful Hilton staff—was jazzed to be there. Everyone was in good spirits. While I didn’t see as many attendees in total as at the 2019 CAF show pre-Covid, every room I visited was full, and in many midday cases, standing-room-only.
